A DIAMOND FOUND, A LIFE LOST.

George saw the children playing in the garden, giggling and jocund while he was taking a brisk walk with his parents.
He saw their merriment and sighed.
If only he was as lucky as the other children.
If only people did not judge a book by its cover.
He had no friends and spent most of his time in solitude.
He did try making friends but failed.
Some were frightened by him, some thought he was cursed and malevolent, others ridiculed him.
The despised school as he was always bullied and taunted by his school mates.
He loathed himself.
Tears rolled down his cheeks.
Poor George was born with a tumour in his face, which when removed left his face permanently disfigured and grosteque.
His parents always tried to cheer him up. They tried to convince him that he is not ugly,he is just different but it was of no use.
George knew himself.
He sat on a bench, gloomy when suddenly,he heard screams and welps in agony.
He followed the source of sound only to discover an injured dog, bleeding profusely, crying for help.
Although George did not have  a good face, but he had a golden heart.
He aided the dog and requested his parents to keep him.
His parents wanted nothing but his happiness, so they readily agreed.
Then life changed for George.
He had finally found a friend.
His distressing day were over.
His parents saw him elated for the first time . They could not be happier.
George's sombre life was finally filled with joy and light.

The dog was ugly too. His grave injury left his body permanently scarred.
Other dogs would bark at him, as if mocking him.
George never felt so close to someone.
After every stinking day at school, he would come home, play with the dog, and forget his anguish.

But life is unfair.
His parents died in a tragic car accident, which left George poor, hungry and homeless.
George was not given any jobs because of his appearance as he might scare other people.
His dog brought him stale food leftovers and rotten meat so that they could fill their stomach.

Months later, they caught a deadly bacterial disease.
George had strong contempt for the beastly world.
In his last dying breaths,he took a stone, and carved letters on the walls, writing the story of his extreme suffering and torment.
But he was satisfied. Although he was poor and ugly, he had found a diamond,a rare one.
THE DOG.
Hugging each other, they both took their last dying breaths and died smiling.

People gathered around the scene, read his story which filled their hearts with consolation and pity.
They saw their cruelty, their sins.
I was present there too. The decided to take a note of his story which was carved in the walls,in intentions to aware people about the poison filled in our minds.
